1. Parent / Guardian Attendance
A parent or legal guardian
must remain on site and accompany the child for the entire session. This event is designed for babies and toddlers aged 6 weeks to 2 years; unsupervised children will not be permitted to participate.
I understand and agree to follow the above attendance expectations.
2. Health, Allergies, and Special Needs
Please be aware of any allergies (including to food, paint, glue, latex, natural materials, etc.), medical conditions (e.g., skin sensitivities, respiratory conditions), sensory needs, or other information that may affect participation. I agree to inform The Craft Party of any such needs in advance.
I agree to provide any necessary information or instructions to staff in advance, and I understand that The Craft Party is not able to administer prescription medication beyond basic first aid measures (e.g., bandages, ice), unless agreed in writing.
3. Acknowledgement of Risks
I understand that The Craft Party's activities involve sensory and arts and crafts play designed for babies and toddlers, which may include (but are not limited to) use of baby-safe paints, natural materials, textured surfaces, water, and soft craft tools; and interaction with other children and caregivers.
I acknowledge that, even with appropriate supervision and safety precautions, participation may involve certain
inherent risks, such as:
- skin contact with craft materials that may cause irritation or allergic reactions
- mouthing or contact with sensory materials (all materials used are non-toxic and baby-safe)
- slips, trips, or falls
- emotional upset or overstimulation in a group setting
I accept these ordinary risks on behalf of my child to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4. Behavior and Session Management
I understand that The Craft Party aims to provide a calm, positive, and sensory-friendly experience. If a child becomes significantly distressed or overstimulated, The Craft Party may suggest that the parent/guardian step outside briefly or end the session early if necessary.
No refunds will be provided if a session ends early due to a child's distress or non-disclosure of significant needs.
5. Illness and Cancellation
Children who are ill (fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious illness, or COVID-like symptoms) must not attend. The Craft Party reserves the right to turn away any child who appears unwell on the day.
Full credit is issued for cancellations made at least
24 hours in advance. Credits can be used for any future session with no expiry. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable but may be transferred to another family.
6. Release and Waiver (to the extent permitted by law)
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I voluntarily allow my child to participate in The Craft Party programming and:
- accept the ordinary risks described above; and
- agree not to hold The Craft Party (Play N Party Inc.), its owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, or event partners liable for minor injuries, losses, or damages arising from these ordinary risks, except where caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where liability cannot legally be waived.
I understand that in Canada, parental waivers for minors may have legal limits and may not fully prevent a child from bringing a future claim in all circumstances.
10. Acknowledgement
